Evan Williams looks on at a break in behind his goal against Hibs at Hampden in 1972.

Thing is, is it the Drybrough final or the SCF ?

Anyone recollect this and what's going on ?
I'm sure (? mibbes aye mibbes naw) that this was the Drybrough Cup Final. Unless I am hopelessly having a lapse of memory, I think we might have been 3-0 down and pulled it back very late to 3-3 for extra time. Hibs scored twice in extra time. Cue devastation. :( Others may correct me and I'm sure they will.

Inconclusive, but this is the highlights of extra time. I am sure we got pasted and maybe scored the three goals to take it to 3-3 in the last few minutes of normal time.

Anybody?

Beat 5-3

I remember being on the track at the SC final, at the traditional huns end. Bottles flying across the thin segregated line between us and them.
Sure it was the "Dixie" final. :worthy:
Dixie Deans Final v Hibs 1972, 6-1 with Dixie scoring a hat-trick in front of a crowd of 106,000.

Younger elements of the support in those days had a habit of going into the old huns end under the cover for a sing song along with as much beer, wine and spirits as you could carry.

(a kinda of leaderless GB of the early 1970s and counted in their thousands numbers wise)

Always surprised how the diddy teams support knew which end of Hampden was the huns end.

A few tasty moments under that old cover v Hibs.

Tommy Callaghan gets a cross in at Pittodrie 1972..........[IMG]Posted Image[/IMG]

Can someone tell me how to post these pics without the URL message going in ?

How many of you check the Celtic Wiki on a regular basis ? Great stuff and pics going in all the time.
St Ants your not alone as you can see from other posts on this page, the problem stems from imageshack as they want you to advertise their product, when you copy the link to post the pic, this is what you are copying:

[IMG]http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/3295/williams7.jpg[IMG]

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

delete that bottom part that starts with Uploaded and your pic will be fine

about the Wiki, yes i check it at least 4 times a week and have contributed many a time, it would be a big help to JBC if posters placed their pics directly onto the wiki, if you need help contact JBC although i notice he did not help you much with this question

Last day of the Jungle?
Our last competitive game in the Jungle, v Dundee, the huns played the last competitive game, then we 'blew away the blues' :rocker: v Man Utd (oldies)

I was at them both, the boy in the parrot suit became a minor celebrity for a few days afterwards IIRC.

Wee Jinky was out of this world against Man Utd at the blow away the blues night, his chip over the keeper will live with me forever. The Jungle celebrated it as if it was a last minute winner against the huns!

Don't think there's any fighting it's just fans escaping the bottles and cans being thrown from loonies at the back of the terraces.
