 Absolutely no chance - I can already see players I don't know but will give it a go.

Back Row - L to R - McCluskey, Kenny ,Hall?, George ,Cesar, TG, ?, Hood ,Brian McLaughlin, Cattanach

Middle Row - L to R - Franchetti maybe? ,Watt, Cairney,Yogi, Gordon Marshall ,Williams, Davie, Irish Bhoy Lally? Big Fallon smiling :o Tommy Callaghan,Bobby Murdoch, Jimmy Quinn,?

Front Row - L to R - White, Macari, Jinky, Wallace, Bobby Lennox ,Stevie ,Vic Davidson, Danny, Stevie Hancock, Jim Brogan, Tommy O'Hara ,Paul Wilson.
That is some effort CB.

The player inbetween TG and Hood is Billy Mitchell.

The chap beside Jimmy Quinn is James Kyles.

You got the rest :worthy:
Trying to date it for jbc and the Wiki, Paul - Does it give one?

No John Clark and the fact Gordon Marshall is in it maybe early season 1971/1972?

I've checked Russ Watt's email and he's dated the picture of his dad at 14/08/1971. The team group is simply dated 1971.

This was Big Jock's cheaper version of what he huns did to us with Judas.

We got him from Spurs right before March transfer deadline in 77 and he helped us to the Double.

Remember piling up to Pittodrie for his debut.

huns really hated him for doing it cos he'd been one of their stars when they won Cup Winners Cup.

A good player but he couldn't bring himself to do to them what Judas did to us and score :nono:

I thought that too as when nippers my mate James "Titch" Deacon* lived in a close at the corner of Somerville Drive/Brownlee Street and we could see in from his Ma's flat.

What was the story with transfer deadlines in those days?
I never knew there even was one.

Teams could buy players up until the transfer deadline, which I think was in Mid March (ish).

After that date, teams had to go with what they had until the end of season.

It was in place to prevent teams buying a raft of star players to play in the last few games of a season to avoid relegation, win championships etc.

I think that about sums it up, although others may wish to embellish.
