Take those players out the pic and that could have been anytime between 1929 when that "Hayshed" roof went up and 1966 when it was replaced by the Jungle roof.
That part of the ground saw no improvements between 1929 and 1966.

Before that the only improvements were the rood in 29 replacing the two arches roof which was there from 1909 to 1929.
Those steps in the Jungle were basically the same steps stood on since 1904 when the original Janefield St Stand was burned dwn and replaced by reserved terracing until the roof went up in 1909 after a wrangle with the cooncil who claimed they owned a 1ft breadth of land all the way along the Janey St stand. Until the dispute was settled the Jungle side lay uncovered for 5 years.

Remember too where they are running used to be the cycling track nearest and Jungle steps and also the running track.
It was before my time when the Jungle steps were concreted and the new roof went up but any older KDSers confirm they also brought it forward to narrow the gap between the pitch and the Jungle, thus making it bigger?

There's an image on here somewhere of the RD Stewart digger digging out the front of The Jungle for extension

Celtic players running away, rather than getting carried away. Basically won the league for the 1st time in 12 years that night, the fans knew it and so did the players but big Jock was having none of it.

A few days later we officially clinched it at Motherwell.
