Was wondering, celticwiki has it marked down as a league game played in April 1965.

It's definitely Ibrox (the square goal-posts are a big clue); the only question is whether it's from the 2-2 draw (last-gasp equaliser by the Buzz bomb) or the 4-0 replay.

You're right; IIRC there was a bit of fog at the first game.

EDIT: Just checked soccerbase; the Huns beat champions Kilmarnock 6-4  in their semi-final that year.

First time I've came across the 'full' image of this 'shot' :)

Will forever be known as "the equaliser". Get well soon, Big Tam.

Scottish Cup q.f., February !970. Celtic won 3-1. The best derby, bar none, I've ever seen.

Sorted - it was annoying me

The Celtic player in the background looks like Gemmell whereas the hun looks like Orjan Persson.

In the foreground, I think the keeper is Simpson and the player that Ferguson's jumping into could be either Willie O'Neill or Jim Brogan.

Great photos GR
I would agree with all that though I am sure the player jumping with Ferguson is Willie O'Neill.

The keeper is in a "Faither" pose and he used to roll his sleeves half way up when he wasn't doing back heelers  in Lisbon (Just to remind Torq ;) ).

Der hun looking on from the sidelines I reckon may be Willie Mathieson - Can't quite figure the orange shorts tbh.

It is indeed. Or Bonner with the Stonner, as I like to call this particular piece. Very strange situation. :blueoyster2:

The last time I remember queuing like that for tickets at the main stand was for the Centenary cup final. Queued for the best part of two hours. Then a wee trip to the Glasgow Garden Festival. It was quite a summer!
Only time I queued like that was for the Maestro's testimonial. Was there about 4 or 5 hours, utterly ridiculous. Felt well-chuffed to eventually get a ticket tho. That was until the night of the match, me and my old man sat right behind one of the pillars in th north stand. Paid full price, no mention of restricted view. Even more restricted given the horrendous fog that night!
There were similar - if not bigger - queues for tickets for the games against AC Milan in 1969 and Leeds in 1970.
Me and my mate got our tickets and stand tickets for our then boss, who was from Leeds, and his son in return for him getting us tickets for Elland rd, and an officially sanctioned day off for the away game. :rocker:
