This reminds me of my wife's uncle, who knew Bob Rooney well and his greatest pride was getting a Christmas card from Big Jock every year.

One of her family's favourite sayings was "two for chaur (sp)", which was a reference to complimentary tickets. Back in the day, Bob would be at the doors of Celtic Park and give a couple of tickets just before the match, and if there were, say three of them, they'd split the cost of the third one to pay at the gate.

Has anyone else used that expression, because it's the only time I've heard of it?
maybe it was "sure" , Chalmers, but said in an attempted Irish accent . as in, do you have any comps ?........ "two for sure" and maybe another couple if lucky.
i remember someone using the expression and thats how i took it .
Cheers. That makes sense.

Oban Saints v Celtic Youths 1982, how many eventual first teamers can ye spot, there are supposed to be five.
The first team wore that strip on the pre season tour of Australia in the summer of 1977

I played for the Boys Club in 1990 but the strip we wore was the v-neck 1984 shirt then the Centenary shirt. Always was shirts a few years behind to what the full 1st team wore.

hun looking tough, knowing the ref is on his/her way. That ref looks like Margaret Thatcher, it's definately possible she would have wanted to help the bears.
McGinley ,he actually gave us 2 penalties at ibrox one day .

I really hope this is the game against Hearts in November 1969. That is my first ever Celtic game and it would be the first photo I've ever seen of it. I was only six years old and although I have vivid memories or going to, and returning from the game, I have little memory of the game it's self.
Here's a treat for you - http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/1969-11-08%3A+Celtic+0-2+Heart+of+Midlothian%2C+League+Division+1+-+Pictures

Click match for teams etc and report.
Thanks St Anthony, I t worked this time. Will keep the photos. Legend  :worthy: :chuffed:
