I really hope this is the game against Hearts in November 1969. That is my first ever Celtic game and it would be the first photo I've ever seen of it. I was only six years old and although I have vivid memories or going to, and returning from the game, I have little memory of the game it's self.
Here's a treat for you - http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/1969-11-08%3A+Celtic+0-2+Heart+of+Midlothian%2C+League+Division+1+-+Pictures

Click match for teams etc and report.
Agh. Thanks very much for that St Anthony. I'm afraid it didn't work for me although I will try The Celtic Wiki another time.

It seems as though this is a photo of my first ever game though, so for that, I'm grateful. A big day looms now though. HH

Elvis' grandson in one of the pubs around the Gallowgate before one of our games. I have it on good authority Elvis himself was a big Celtic fan but he wasn't too please to hear that ladyboys version of YNWA being played before our matches. He has the definitive version of it.
That picture was taken in the Brazen Head in the GORBALS, we claim the
grandson of Elvis :boxer:

Wasn't it the opening day of the 92/93 season? Think you're right about TC scoring all 3 though.
First day of 92/93 was a 1-0 with a late Levein OG. it was the first season with the new back pass rule and Levein and Smith made a mess of it.

Also, Jackie was gone by 1992.

That pic is the first game of the 89/90 season and yes it was 3-0 with a Coyne hat-trick.
Correct, was behind the goals at Gorgie Rd End, back when we used to pile out into Gorgie Rd for the long walk down to the buses, this day I remember vividly as some loony in a van drove at the Celtic support as we went through the tunnel en route to the buses, still mind my Da trying to get the guy lol
