2-1 win at Ibrox v huns in League Cup Sectional game on August 18 1973. Harry Hood was a sub and scored, along with Lennox.

Interesting to note the non segregation in the old Enclosure at Ibrox. There are clearly folk in there with hun scarves on, yet there are also blokes raising their arms to celebrate a goal.

Believed to be taken at CP1 October 89 v Blackburn.

Possibly looking at the only survivng photograph of where it all began.

Are you sure that's the only image of the original Celtic Park? There's an image in the 4 DVD history one. My mate who is right into Celtic Park, owns a painting that he bought called, the last ever game, it's very similar to the one in the DVD. Iirc, it was by somebody Nicholls or Nicholas.

He also has two photos of the original celtic Park. I think he got them from a Rangers source, as he has passed on some stuff that he has found to their side and they returned the favour. He's got plenty of other pics, that I don't think have been seen. It may be the first ever game, as the two teams are standing side by side. Will ask him

Its not the only image of CP1 but its possibly the first photograph we know of.

Looks like your friend is the owner of the "Holy Grail" :chuffed: something we (Celtic Graves Society) have been looking for quite a while, Im assuming its a watercolour by J.Nicol circa 1890 but maybe you could put me right. We do have a photograph of the painting but its entirely different from the one in the history DVD which was taken from the spirit of ibrox book.

As Glasgow Road said we (CGS) would appreciate any scans, its important that anything the gentleman has is recorded

That's the painting he's got. I replied to your message. Don't know the year, but, on the back of the frame it says the last ever game. I thought the painting was by a Nicholas or maybe that's how I tried to remember it.
