Long shot, but has there been anything of Celtic in the 1943 "Southern Division" during WWII posted? It's my grandad's 80th on Friday and I'm tryig to get hold of stuff from around that time.

Nerves surely ?
Definately not nerves, the bench knew before stevie scored we were gonna win, even if it did have to go to extra time.
Probably just a quiet moment of satisfied contemplation. ....Knowing we were the champions of europe.
The caption under that image at the time read "The moment Jock Stein could not watch any longer" or words along that line.

This was Celtic's last visit to Cowdenbeath 1971.
Never realised it was that long ago.
Remember going on the train....fitba special as usual.
Car racing track round the pitch but not much else about it.
Hadnt started underage drinking then so thats no excuse. 42 years. Where did they go?

I read, many years ago, that he was found in the dressing room after the final whistle just repeating, "What a performance, what a performance". Hope it's true and maybe the enormity of the event dawned on him.
We all know Shanks was right, He is immortal.

Huge crowd. No idea about the opposition but going by the boots Harry Hood is wearing I am going to say 1975 or 1976. Any details?

Celtic 1-0 Derby County 1975. Derby were then English champions under Dave Mackay and had some side. Charlie George, Franny Lee, Roy McFarland, Colin Todd, Archie Gemmill etc.

Crowd was 44,000 and I'm sure from that pic you can see where another 23,000 could have been fitted in
