Back row on the left is Hugh McKellar, I'm pretty sure.
I am also sure that the player on the top left is John Curran of Duntocher Hibs and St Mungo's.

The player in the middle of the front row I think is George McBride signed from Greenock juniors.

Hugh McKellar was not signed until 1967 from Ardeer Recreation.
 George McBride, Father of the late Paul McBride QC

Not so much images you might not have seen but images that should only be seen together.

Once upon a time they had a ball until Big Jock came, less than 6 month later the rest is history.

Isn't that Tommy Callaghan in the top photo? That would date that a couple of years after we won the big cup. He was still with Dunfermline when they won the Scottish Cup in1968.
Aye your right LR well spotted cos i never noticed

Anyway i meant to use this one

Didn't this picture come from a Celtic View souvenir Lisbon Lion magazine? I had the mag as a kid, and it was my prize possession, this picture was in the middle, I took it out and put it was above my bed. It was there for ten years.

One of my old coaches in that picture, Tom Curley, sitting between Bobby Murdoch and Stevie Chalmers.

A good man is Tom.

The Penman Brothers, front middle and far right.
They made our first ever strip.
Notice they were part of the Glasgow Merchants organisation who also held their annual Sports Day at Celtic Park.

October 1895. Did we play in the hoops well before 1903 when it became our home strip?
The 3 games we played before this report was against St Bernards, Linthouse and Dumbarton, all away from home in the days when the away team wore their home strip.
The last home game before this report was against Hearts in our biggest ever home defeat to this day, 5-0.

I think these two team pics show the inspiration behind the home strip having the white socks instead of the hooped socks in the early 60s before big Jock's arrival.

We simply swapped the home socks with the away socks.
