Also, lack of floodlights migh be a clue.

When did they go up? Mid 60s?

If so, it is definitely the early 60s and then likely to be the rangers end.
Wrong angle to be seeing floodlights as the images show

Yep, everyone got it first time, the day we won the league 1988 verses dundee with a lot more than 72,000 watching. We were in the main stand got there about 1.30. Sat there watching the amazing crowd build up. They filled up no-mans land between us and the dundee fans, then filled up the dundee section with celtic fans. The cheerleaders must have been on early if no one can remember them.
The officially quoted attendance was bang on the ground capacity of 60,800, weird considering it was pay at the gate.

72,000 is a figure often quoted since then and off the record as being the actual amount.
I had a season ticket for the jungle and I always wonder if those stubs were ever counted. Definitely the tightest crowd in the jungle I'd ever experienced.

I think this was Yeats testimonitexan 1974 when we beat Liverpool 4-1.I think this was when Lennox scored a hat trick and bobby charlton played for us.Both teams were without their internationals.I wasn't aut this game but went to billy mcneil's testimonial the year before when both teams had their full teams out and we drew 1-1.the one testimonial I would have wanted to go to,which my uncle did,was when we beat Leeds 4-3 and Jinky had a great game ,round about the same time

Bobby scored a hat trick in Tommy Smiths testimonial, he only scored one in Ron Yeats, I think the pic is Rons testimonial though

As someone else said earlier, I think it would have been the 2-0 game in the centenary season right enough.
