Mark 2 Cortina came out in 1966, it looks an early one
If you're talking about the one behind the mini with its doors open, I think that's a Zephyr/Zodiac Mk III.

Quite a few young bhoys in it that i cant name
Names ?
The bhoy to Willie McStay's left is Paul McGrath. Smashing big player, don't know where it went wrong. Pollok boy who went to Lourdes. In the polis noo I think.
Paul played football in Malta for a spell.

Jinky was with Dundee by that time, but he trained with Celtic because it was more convenient... plus I don't think he could drive.

EDIT: He later played for Elgin City.

Outstanding photograph. Captures a very rare moment in time. It's not "posed" as many football photographs tend to be. It looks like half-time. Are we winning? The tension is evident. What is most outstanding is the classic beauty of the Hoops. No silly numbers or gadgetry of any kind. They speak for themselves. Now we can't even wear them in a National Cup Final. Madness. This has to be my favourite photograph to date on this thread. It sums up "my Celtic" in every sense of the imagination.
That photo is different class

Did Jimmy Lumsden have a coaching role at Celtic?
Yep - Cesar brought him in - He actually played a game for Celtic - Anglo Scottish Cup iirc

Done well with Moyes - Think he was going to retire - No idea if has or will change his mind now if Moyes takes his own backroom staff or a few of them.
odds-on to follow him i think
Jimmy played 2 games for celtic in the glasgow cup only.

Lumsden played two games.

One against Clyde in the ASC in August 1978 and the other a GC game against the deid huns in May 1979.

The second one was mainly a reserve side. Both are on the wiki.

Played a couple of low level friendlies as well.

I went to school with Paul..he lived in Hapland Road in Pollok

absolutely the best player I ever saw personally at school level...phenomenally talented :worthy:

if it's not him in that picture then it's a guy who is his living image!!

I'm assuming the pic is from about 1978-79--80?

edit to add that it must be the pre-season pic for season 80/81...

Has to be 1977, Shirley?

Championship trophy and SC bit of a clue, methinks.

see my edit above...think it's the reserve trophies either side of Scottish Cup won in 1980...the riot final.......league trophy would be centre?
