The good old days when the deid huns couldn't sell all their tickets and gave us a chunk of the Govan stand :rocker:
Last day lost the league but left the ground proud as punch.

Then again how often are you 2 nil down at ht and win 4 2 there?
About 10 minutes from the end there was a mad rumour that United were losing and we were going to win the league
Fell off a seat at the back of the Broomloan upper that day - never felt a thing ....... Til the next day

That was a downside. Always took a radio in those days and knew the rumours were wrong.

Paid off spectacularly at Love Street a few years later right enough.

OT: I remember when Burchill equalised in the last couple of minutes for Hearts against Deidco in 2005, CP went mental; I turned to my mate and remarked that the huns would probably get their penalty in the last minute... cue Brother Shug and the award of the penalty that was only a penalty in the eyes of neutral who had backed an way win.

Yes.

We used to get Broomloan, half the enclosure, nearly half the main stand and a bit of the Govan.
Remember it well. Never a problem getting a ticket. And almost guaranteed a good result! :rocker:
Empty corners meant you got to see the huns stream away

GubbedthebassasagainCSC
was in the main stand that day, right next to the grand masters, lodge masters, grand wizards and all the rest of their 'elite'. Midway through the second half we nearly took the roof off with a rendition of the soldiers song,we really gave the bastards their dinner,on and off the park. In those days there was no dispute as to who owned Ibrox..........we did !!

In the main stand that day close to their Pepsi sign that took up most of the wall. Old wooden seats iirc :ponder:
Well pissed off at ht, swinging from the rafters by 5pm.

went to the enclosure right next to the huns a few times and the suits up in the main stand ,when going for their half time refreshment, used to give us to give us the get it up you signs which was the cue for coins and pies thrown at them which caused then to to hurry on, hands covering their heads. They never seemed to learn.i remember 2-0 down at half time the players came out for the second half to the best walk on i've seen at ipox which certainly contributed to the turnaround at the game.3 teams could have won the game that day with the huns nowhere to be seen. ,'

It was actually the linesman who saw the ''Offence''. Dallas took his advise and gave a penalty, which if I remember correctly, cost us the league. Can't remember the lino's name, but i'm sure he had previous.Think the hun involved was Kyriakos.

Grant looks like the bassist from some early 90s pop rock band.

Brown looks like he has just come from a court appearance.

A notice on the entrance of a Barcelona boozer from 2008, one year after Oldco had played there in 2007.
