The policeman on a white horse, probably just back from leading a walk.
That horse is chestnut... are you colour-blind?
After zooming in yes it's not white, but DEFINE chestnut :boxer:

North stand Celtic end Hampden 1977. Jeez what a dump that was.
God! What a pigsty!

Doesn't even look structurally safe.

What year did that come down again? Early 80s?

I'm thinking 1981?...
1982. It was still there during the 1982 Scotish Cup Final when the Sheep gubbed
the original rangers 4-1. It was gone (and the terracing in front of it closed for
resurfacing) later in the year when we beat DeadCo 2-1 in the League Cup final.

BOAC merged with BEA to become BA about 73 or 74 so it must have been before that.

BOAC and BEA were the same outfit it BO that did long haul and BE did domestic and Europe.
No they weren't ALV, they were two different companies that merged in 1974 to become British Airways.

st anthony,
Sure that is Kilmarnock at home. Celtic End picture I think is 2-1 home win v Rangers with Roy Aitken scoring first and Fank McGarvey getting the winner. The colour picture is from 1968.
Was that the game McCoist scored in less than a minute, then we pummelled them for the rest of the game?

That's right.

If I recall the whole north terracing was shut for the LCF and it was effing tipping it down with rain.

Wasn't it great when all the buses in Glasgow were Green. White & Gold? How did they ever get away with that? Then of course I think it changed to Orange. Oh, well. Great photos!
Of course Peter Lawell's father ran Glasgow Corporation buses in those days.
