st anthony,
Sure that is Kilmarnock at home. Celtic End picture I think is 2-1 home win v Rangers with Roy Aitken scoring first and Fank McGarvey getting the winner. The colour picture is from 1968.
The huns looked as if they might have got a result that day.We lost 4-2 in September 68 .

The two White gates where a good spot for a punty up and over ,the barbed wire had a gap
in it ,but then some jobsworth covered the top of the wall with grease.

Guess where and when ?
Bridgeton Cross during European Cup final, 1967?
Near enough. Brigton cross Jan 1968. Picked it up on the web.
Where abouts on the web if you don't mind me asking?

I'm always looking out for pics from the 70s of Glasgow. Specifically the East end where I was brought up, but any other areas too.

I got over that turnstile against Argentina, caught by a copper and thrown out. Got back in the same way round at the Rangers end.

Wasn't it great when all the buses in Glasgow were Green. White & Gold? How did they ever get away with that? Then of course I think it changed to Orange. Oh, well. Great photos!

God! What a pigsty!

Doesn't even look structurally safe.

What year did that come down again? Early 80s?

I'm thinking 1981?...

I can't remember a runway at the Celtic end, that plane look awfy low to make it to abbotsinch. :suspect:

BOAC merged with BEA to become BA about 73 or 74 so it must have been before that.

When did the old bridge come down? I stopped going that way to the park in the late 70s and I'm pretty sure it was still there then. I think I was still using the railway embankment as a shortcut up until 75

By the early 70's, all buses on the 64 route had doors at the platforms, usually Leyland Atlanteans or later-model Lowlanders; that one looks like an early Leyland Lowlander with an open platform.

There's a thread over in the 'Repository' forum; real history-nut porn.
