Any info on this game, hardly missed a game back then, but there looks a decent crowd at that game, probably the 'official' attendance was 24,000
http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/1977-10-15%3A+Celtic+1-2+St+Mirren,+Premier+Division

29,000 ! Funny how they all ended in three zeros in those days.

I see Roy Kay played as well. Big St Mirren support there that day. Until then that was the biggest away support I'd seen from any team apart from the deid huns.
Is that Toomai back beyond Munro,s :arrr: thigh?

Just added this to the wiki:

That was excellent. The size of the crowd was astonishing. Tynecastle in the eighties was a death trap, I shudder to think what it was like getting out through that tunnel that day.

Wains with their hoods up? Was it not a nice day when we won the big cup?

I was in Rothesay. I can remember 8 year old me being on holiday playing football in the back garden with my cousin before and after the game.

Only other time I can recall us wearing an old strip in a League game
Played Hibs midweek in the league cup wearing a yellow and green strip then again on the Saturday we .wore the European strip (black numbers on back) from the season before

st anthony,
Sure that is Kilmarnock at home. Celtic End picture I think is 2-1 home win v Rangers with Roy Aitken scoring first and Fank McGarvey getting the winner. The colour picture is from 1968.
