Half roof going up in 57 in the Celtic End. Seems to suggest too that the terracing was extended to take the roof making the capacity bigger.
Pic from match shows Celtic End in background before roof went up deffo looking smaller.

The two Grey and Maroon coloured double-deckers on the left of the photo are Wishaw CSC (now defunct) (Young St Bus), and Wishaw Emerald CSC (still going) (Cross Keys Bus).
The two double deckers from Wilsons of Carnwath always parked next to each other in that area.
I would have been on the Wishaw Young Street bus

Fergus moved it.
Not that one he didn't. :ph43r:

Will be amazed if thats no Celtic Park Moch

Possibly the 1954 Friendly against Wolves :nono:
That is 100% definitely Celtic Park. The missing floodlights went up in 59, the missing half roof on the Celtic End went up in 57. The Hayshed stand on the right (Precurser to the Jungle) went up in 29 and down in 68.
Think that's Neil Mochan so that'd make it between 53 and 57. That would rule out Arsenal as the oppo too, also they had their white sleeves well before then tho it does look like their badge.
 take a cookie from the jar St.Anthony ........the little info i had was "13 Aug" on the back of the photo and the only game i could get to tie in with that picture was QOS AWAY in a cup tie 1955 . "Neil Mochan scored after 30 seconds" which looks about right ......?
feel free to disagree though ;)

Why would Wolves be wearing a badge with a cannon on it? Only club I know that has a badge like that is the Gunners.
Something tells me that may be Queen of the South.
It sure is!

The Celtic CF turning away towards Neilly is Jimmy Walsh who left in 1956 - If Jimmy is listed as playing against QofS that day it would help confirm another piece of the jigsaw.

wonderful stuff, just wonderful. :worthy:

I've just done a 1-65 in the hope that I may see a picture that has gone missing from our family.

I'm sure it was a colour pull-out form a Newspaper (perhaps Citizen) from the 60's/70's. McNeill is leading the team out the tunnel and my great granda is standing in the back ground clapping them on.

Please if anyone has it or anything that coudl be it, let me know.
