I miss this. Sometimes I sit in the North Stand Lower, zip my snorkel right up and watch the game so the main stand is the only thing I can see in the background.

It's great. But I haven't seen us score for a while.

Great Photo. A new one to me.

We used to use the old railway embankment as a shortcut to get to Dalmarnock Road.

The new road probably closely follows the route of the old rail line.

Roseberry park. I played there in the 1984 gorbals schools cup final. Bobby murdoch presented the medals afterwards. Not long after that they discovered that it had 10000 times the acceptable levels of radiation due to a former nearby factory during the war which made aircraft instruments.
That must be the reason I played s..t that day.

Didn't Roy Aitken have his testimonial against Liverpool around this time? :ponder: Think Craig Johnston (inventor of Predators) might have scored the winner in either Roy's testimonial or the Hillsborough benefit.

TB's tetimonial was against Ajax in late 1989.

No it wasn't, that was Tommy's last game v Ajax.

Celtic Wiki - Celtic v Ajax

CelticWiki - Tommy Burns testimonial - v Liverpool

Celtic Wiki - Roy Aitken testimonial

I think the Celtic v Liverpool pic is Burns' testimonial - it was a much sunnier day.
