Probably the winter of 62/63.
How you you reckon?...
It was one of the worst winters on record. :(

Edit. The fitba', among other things, was cancelled for around three months.

Have been trying without susccess for some time to get a pic from Aberdeen 3-2 Celtic 1979 on the night when Archibald scored a hat trick for Aberden.

Grateful thanks to the Aberdeen heritage website who provided me with this for the wiki.

Nice one lads

Brilliant pic Liam. At the risk of sounding like a deluded hun I am neraly greetin' looking at it.

The old Parkhead I first loved when my Dad started taking me.
This picture is taken from virtually the same spot my dad would have stood with me on my first few trips to celtic park in the mid to late 1970s.superb to have the memories refreshed by an image such as this.my dad passed away at the end of january this year - the man who gave me celtic.rip.

Knew it was somethinh like that, but didn't realize it was for Di Stefano.

How good was Cushley, CB?
Before my time as he went to West Ham at the end of 66/67 - By accounts big strong* Centre Half and back up to Cesar - As lubomirmoravcik will tell us the Deid Bastards had a Centre Forward called Jim Forrest who was a good player and Big Billy couldn't handle him but John Cushley would have Forrest in his back pocket.

Sadly John Cushley died relatively young of MND but after football he was always helping out around Celtic Park and at one time he was the Education Officer - He was an educated guy and at the same time as helping Celtic he had a successful teaching career as a few of the Bhoys on here can testify.

* Strong as in built like the proverbial brick shampoo house and thighs like Gerd Muller and Stuart Pearce combined.
John Cushley has been connected with celtic for many many years. His father Ned Cushley was very good friends with big jock. The Cushley family were born and bred in Blantyre and johns father was a scout for Glasgow celtic for many years in the 60s & early 70s. John was a very well educated man and became headmaster @ st brides in East Kilbride after retiring from top level football. John could speak many languages and was asked by martin o,neil to educate the youngsters part time @ celtic park which he did before MND struck and eventually killed both Jinky & John. The Cushley family were great servants to both blantyre celtic juniors , glasgow celtic and to st Joseph,s boys guild in blantyre. I had the privilege recently of working in johns sister,s house in uddingston who showed me many great photos of John in his hay day. A very big powerful many but a very helpfull man in educating many people @ celtic park including on foreign visits. A truly unsung celtic man. Hail hail

 fantastic post.

Blantyre men Cushley and Fallon were Big Jocks secret 'enforcers' in Lisbon, sent out to 'nab the good bench' before the Inter back room team
