What game was that?

I honestly can't recall us wearing that stip even once. I thought it was a leisure style third strip?... :ponder:

Going by the leisurely posture of some of the crowd, there was either some very good weed being passed round, or it's a tour game.

EDIT: Mibbes Cobh Ramblers in the 1986/87 pre-season tour of Ireland? :ponder:

I think it's the pre-season tour of Switzerland Celtic did in July 1988 - the one where we drafted in Hamish McAlpine for a few games!

Going by the opposition strip, Moss FK from 1987 is a possibility.

The multi-purpose garment of its day: as well as keeping yer heid dry, it was also used for drawing the first goalscorer sweep, and collecting the driver's 'bung'.

Cobh isn't a bad shout, but I can't recall much greenery in St. Colman's Park.
I was at the game mentioned and I think Celtic wore the hoops.

This was taken at a challenge match at Ravenswood, Cumbernauld United v Celtic in 1968. I think it was related to King Kenny's loan spell there.
