Good pic of the old firhill, so that wee roof is the area that has the new stand and flats behind it, think the jags sold off ground for redevelopment of that area.

Dunfermline fans during the centenary season.

I remember that game. I'm sure there was loads of them dressed up. There was a good atmosphere between the fans at the game. Possibly it was the last game of the season.
There was indeed. Celtic fans to a man singing you will be back to the Dunfermline fans.

Great day great day.

was it 1-0 win? I think we were under pressure to win every game and this one looked as though it was slipping away. Like TWG I may be mixing things up.

Firhill in the early 90's never had a roof on the "toilet" behind the goals never mind the terracing.

Great pic of there. I liked the old Firhill and the advertising wall.

last match of the season. my first match at CP after a 31 hours trip via train from Tally to Central station in Glesga. Morris scored after ten minutes. i remember the trophy parade and jim Leishman clapped by celtic fans. the worst regret of the day: no tv coverage of match as Bbc strike and no ticket to retain as memorabilia.

5 April 1981. McCluskey missed a penalty before McAdams late goal. Was my first
away game, my da took me and my wee brother to it. It was played on a Sunday
afternoon presumably cos DeadCo were at home the previous day.

Spot on. Thistle's goalie was a guy called Dougie McNab who I never heard of again. :ponder:

Cheers for that. It was the game I thought. Remember now you mentioned that it was on a Sunday which would have been rare in those days.
