Never scoured the terracing for gingees, but I had an uncle (non smoker) who saved up literally thousands of Embassy fag coupons. Used to love raking through discarded fag packets when the bulk of the crowd had gone. I remember you could sell Embassy coupons in our local cafe......2/6 per 100.

I'm not sure about the white diamod strip, I have seen the Green diamon one from about 1920 though.

Happy Days. The Night that Drove Old Dixie Down and Cotton Fields must have been in the charts for the same number of years. It's a funny old thing the memory. There are season I look back on and can barely remember a game, but I still can clearly hear those three tunes getting belted out as I scoured the Celtic end for gingies.
