I'd say Dundee at the end of 92-93 season
Decent away support aswell .
Wiki , game could be august 92 1 -0 win over Dundee league cup
30,000 at the game.

Gary Gillespies debut? That was a big crown IIRC. That was against Falkirk.

EDIT: Its not Falkirk. I forgot they had red shoulders in those days.

 my first thought.

It's not Falkirk, definitely Dundee, and I would say it is end of season not early season judging by the sunlight.

Gary Gillespie's debut was against Falkirk and it was an absolute scorcher of a day

Does anyone have any pics of Celtic v fiorentina (or fire tuna on the predictive text on an iPhone) European cup quarter final of 1970.

It's one of the few big games we have played, that I don't know much about, as my uncle John had signed for Morton by then and it was ten years before I was born. Also any pics of MTK Budapest capitulation in the Cup Winners' Cup semi would be appreciated

Really?

I'd say the light was definitely more of a sunny August evening.

There's a pic on the Wiki page for the League Cup game, I'd say it was the LC game

Celtic Wiki

This was the night when Leighton had to wear a Celtic goalie top in goals for Dundee.

This was the Dundee team:

Leighton, Dinnie, McGowan, Duffy, Ratcliffe, den Bieman, Vrto, Rix, Beedie, Gilzean, Dodds

I had completely forgotten that Graham Rix played for Dundee.

I had forgotten that Kevin Ratcliffe played for them too.
I can remember going to a League Cup match at Dundee and seeing Paul McStay getting sent off for :handbags: with Dusan Vrto.

I love that picture inside the old Celtic end.

Takes me right back. You rarely see pictures of the old place from the fans eye view. It was old, decrepit and patched up with superglue and plaster, but I really, really miss it at times.

I'd say my most enjoyable years there were 1986 to 1988.

I was there regularly from about 1985 to 1993 between when I started going to the games with my mates, and my first temporary move away from Glasgow (plus if the truth be told, I reached the end of my tether after the New Years Day debacle of 1994)

For some reason I started to like the Celtic End after the new roof went up, and obviously after about 1989, those years were not great and the atmosphere dipped accordingly.

But for about 2-3 years, I'd not have wanted to be anywhere else in the world.
