Nice pic. I was probably at that game, and I do remember fans used to jump on the "shed" roof. It was only about six feet from the ground to the slop of the roof behind the shed, so it was fairly easy to get hoisted up there. It also used to be a good spot to climb over from Knowetop school.
I have to say though, that some of the guys up there look photo-shopped, especially the geezer with hands in pockets.

Is that the 4-1 (?) game from around 1965 - if so it was my first Celtic game. Jinky ran riot through those puddles.

I remember travelling home on the bus with the school team.
I remember travelling home on the team plane the next day, sitting next to a chap called Gerry somebody or other.
Think he was a journalist, big Billy didn't like him.

Your correct, it was an afternoon kick off, no floodlights.
Did the Poli fans hoist you (or your pals) on their shoulders after the match? I've heard that story, but not from anyone who was actually there.
Didn,t happened to me personally, i was too digusted by our attempts at getting passed the mighty PT and headed straight for the digs.
Inter Milan fans were staying in the same hotel.
Little did i know a generation would pass before i saw us doing anything in Europe.
According to the handful of other supporters on the plane yes it did happen.
Think the locals were just happy to see outsiders that weren't part of an invading army.
Luckily they never played the huns from Western Europe.

Footage from in and around celtic park sometime in the mid 70's filmed using a super8 cine camera. This is the digitally restored version of my other video with some extra footage.

I came across this on youtube; it's amateur footage of Celtic in the 70's.
