Iknow his brother Jazzo goes, not sure about Willie. Snowy I knew it wasn't Willie, but thats exactly what he looked like early seventies. Played up front with Willie in the great Grangemouth International teams early to mid seventies. Used to fight like cat and dog on the field, great friends off it.

If you know Willie you'll know confidence was never an issue with him  Happy days.

Aye he did,was on Celtics books, though Idont think he made a first team apearance. He was released,he signed for Hibs, where he promptly scored a winner at Celtic Park.Won a scottish medal with his hometown team Boness, and had a short spell at the Pace.We signed him from lithgi after he had levelled the manager there.Since jow is probaly a mate of his,I will only describe Temps as being a "character"!!!!!!.A very talented player,as was his brother.

Occasional Substitute

Looking at the Love Street 1986 picture there' it always annoyed me that Davie Hay felt the need to substitute Danny Mc Grai and bring on Peter Grant. I think some of the pictures reflect Danny's disappointment.

Tannadice 1981. A mate of mine missed the bus (the old Govan Harp) and ran to the motorway at Helen Street and down on to the hard shoulder to hitch a lift.

A Tim in a Jag stopped in the outside lane (!!!) and gave him a lift.

Imagine that happening now ?

Excepting the outside lane part  I would hope it would still happen now.

What was the story there again? I remember vaugely as a youngster both our central defenders were out injured and we had to have Conroy and someone else stand in.
Still remember to this day Conroy was man of the match.
Tom mcAdam was suspended and the stand in roddy mcDonald was injured. So conroy partnered big Roy . What a game he had. huns as usual went for high balls to bfd.
You forgot about the original replacement - Jim Casey.

He was earmarked to play centre half and got injured on the Thursday before the game.

It was only after that Conroy was drafted in.

Right on full time big Latchford came to catch a crossa and took Conroy with him, ball and all !

Casey's career surrounded three huns games.

1. He played sweeper at Ibrox in Sept 1977 the day we blew a 2-0 half time lead and lost 3-2.

2.He scored an OG at Hampden in the 1978 LCSF which we lost 3-2 again.

3. He got injured before the 1980 SCF. That could have been a turning point for him.

Casey at one point was as highly rated as Burns and McCluskey.
Yep. You're spot on re Casey. Forgot about him. I was going to mention that image on full time.A really iconic moment.
