I knew vinny the parrot!
His name was Vincent and he owned a newsagent shop in Finneston?
He was also involved in the Paul McStay display at Easter rd after Paul missed the penalty against Raith rovers in the cup final.
Great Celtic man!

Great Celtic man!
If it's the same Vinny, I know the family; his brother was killed on the M74 returning from the Sammy Nelson Testimonial... and his da' was a red-hot Communist.

SCQF 1970. Jinky's just scored the third from the bye-line. Finished 3-1, the best derby I've ever seen.

Yes to both: Roy Barry with the SC, and Bent Martin is the Pars goalie; Big Jock signed him from Aarhus, but later sold him to Dunfermline. They put us out in the first round proper at CP, winning 2-0; we were honking that day.

EEP was one of my favourite - if not my favourite - away trips back then; the games were always superb entertainment. Dunfermline were a real European force as well; in '67, they just missed on the final of the old Fairs Cup (now Europa League, and at the time regarded as the most difficult one to win)... that would have given Scotland a finalist in all three European competitions that season.

CELTIC AND THE FANS AT A CUP TIE AT DENS PARK DUNDEE 1947
We'll support you ever more :ynwa:

Some crowd and taken at a time when history tells us we were nearly relegated.

A few Celtic greats running out there with age catching up with them

Bobby Hogg, Willie Miller, Jimmy Mallan, Matt Lynch? Willie Corbett? A young Bobby Evans.
