If you mean the Manu game, that finished 1-1. and the New Zealand game in the picture finished 0-1. :(

Edit. Quote fail, meant for Roy Aitken.
No mate, that's not the one i'm thinking of, unless Jinky did score a cracker in the 1-1 game and i've got the score wrong. Either that or i'm totally making it up.

Could've sworn there was a goodbye to the jungle game against Man utd, before it became seated

Man Utd friendly wit the badge was 1-1 in August 1992. Creaney for us, Robson for them.

The Jinky game was an old crocks game for the Jungle's last stand before the hideous seats when in the old placein May 1993.

My recollection is of Frank Worthington, Asa Hartford and Joe Corrigan all playing.

The Brazilians would be Inacio (top) - who went on to play for Clydebank - and Di Sousa (bottom); wasn't there a third one... or is my memory playing tricks?

There were another two Jorge Farah and Fernando Consul but they only played Practice Matches.

Pretty sure those pics of the Brazilians were taken in a Reserve LC sectional match at CP which we won 3-2, IIRC. I was at the match, and remember the the result from Dens Park being announced at the end of the game; Celtic won 2-0 to top the section (a real cut-throat group which also included Dundee United and Motherwell) on the last day with eight points. :chuffed:

EDIT: I have a faint recollection that Di Sousa scored in the reserve match. :hmmm:

Don't know if it's ever been posted on here before. But, many people have seen it and it's on the Graves, the earliest moving images of Celtic Park. The Grant Stand is included

I'm guessing that the Joe McBride goal is from the home game against DU in the LC section match in 1965/66; IIRC we won 3-0.

Big Jock told him he wouldn't be playing in the European Cup final (even then he knew we would get there)

Good to see pics of the Brazilians.

Just before my time but does anyone believe we were serious about them or were they just gimmicks ?

Wonder what became of them also.
