That the '58 LCF?
This is from the League Cup Final but it was October 1956, not 1958. The first game ended 0-0 and the replay, which we won 3-0, was played on the Wednesday afternoon because at that time, Hampden didn't have floodlights. The following year - October 1957 - was the famous 7-1 game.

Hi Bhoys & Ghirls, I posted athread on the main discussion board looking for an old photo of my granda Dan Donaldson, who was the team driver durin the 60's, and was told suomeone here might be able to help. It was in the Celtic View and had my Granda and two of the Lions holding the Big Cup in the Trophy Room and i'm sure it was for my Granda's Birthday and also was to commemorate the 25th Anniversary. I have been given some good advice already in regards to where I may be able to find a copy but was also told to try here neforehand.

I was also hoping that if anyone had any other photos that my granda was in they could post them up as well as a lot of these pics and other family photos where lost durin a house move. I'm pretty sure theres on of him getting of the bus with the European Cup back in '67 with my Uncle who was still a boy then.

Thanks for your time, HH

Sorry I have no idea (Its a picture from my brothers collection), perhaps the stand was being renovated (new seats)?
Definitely New Zealand Jan 1992. Took a half day from work which was a waste of time as game was awful. Wynton Rufer scored for Kiwis I think.

Mowbray made a come back from injury in this game.
I was at that game as well, I remember a load of us all dogged school from St Mungos's and went , think they had to open another stand because there was that many

Tony Bhoy , I knew Dan Donaldson and his wife Chrissy Bailie and their kids , went to" the mungo " with Frankie . I think your grandad drove for Doigs busses .You could ask John Lynch,s daughters in The Old Barns as I know he had stacks of old unpublished photos ( one of the old caltonians ,Davie Doc , I think , was a photographer for the Times/ Herald ) , good luck !

Looks like we are wearing that awful people's number, so think that would make it around 91/92.

Only ever seen one keeper with such an inflexible back bend, so that has to be Packie in goals.

Can't be an important game as the main stand upper east where the tables that run along the front of the seats aren't full of the press, ie radio and MSM.

Plus the seats in the upper main were updated I think in 92 or 93 to modern day plastic ones rather than the backs of the seats all joined together, like in this photo.

Could be wrong though, God knows the opposition
Inglis says in Football Grounds of Britain that Celtic moved the Jungle seats (which were much newer, of course) into the main stand during the Hampden hiatus.

Didn't Celtic use Cotter's Tours? :ponder:

WRT The Barns: is Delia working there? I worked with her years ago when she was about 19.

I took ALV jnr out of school for this one, surprised he now has a season card.

We picked a few of these fellows left over from the Manu game................

Was that the goodbye to the Jungle game, when Jinky scored a cracker from the jungle side of the pitch, think ended 4-2?

A very young Roy, was in the boardroom at that game and got to meet Curly, Des and Kevin from Corrie, as well as Frank Worthington, Nobby Stiles etc

If you mean the Manu game, that finished 1-1. and the New Zealand game in the picture finished 0-1. :(

Edit. Quote fail, meant for Roy Aitken.
