One night when I was young (1972/73) I remember my Ma giving me money for the shop.

I bought a lucky bag for 3 pence (!!!) and this poster was in it. Had it for years before I lost it.

All these years I've looked for one and one came up on ebay last month.

Went for £28 !!! :Bye:
Thought it was a Citizen poster till i read your post Ants ,some find.

I've watched Celtic in cup finals and in some of Europe's finest stadia at big, big games and that day was probably the most joyous of my Celtic Supporting life. No one really expected us to do it that day, but Paisley was rammed with us, rain sodden and miserable. At the final whistle I couldn't have cared less!

I reckon I do look back on it with a lot of nostalgia as the last true year of the type of football I grew up with.

Then The Beast took over at rangers and ushered in the start of four decades worth of financial largesse, bent leagues, cooked books, unsustainable spending...

I don't think I've enjoyed football for football's sake since the 80s.
it was the day when jock brwn told "absolutely magnificent" third by jjudas!! still in my ears ! only i never understood mcgrain interview :ponder: :ponder: after the match. but also feed the bear was difficult to listen ...
Sorry, you've lost me.

What did Danny say in his interview and why was feed the bear hard to listen to?... :ponder:

That slopey construction on top of the old North Stand at Hampden always fascinated me.

Always wondered that there must be some sort of steps and tiers within it?

Anyone ever get to watch a game from there?
never watched a game from it , but been up there a few times .my wee dad worked in hampden for years

That's the press box on top of the old South Stand.
Always thought it looked dodgy as eff up there didnt Ibrox have a similar ramshackle thing plonked on their stand before it was club decked to death?
Aye, full of the biggest supporters in Ipox... Parkhead had one as well.

That's the very first time I have ever seen (or recall seeing) the old press box at Ibrox. One has to admire the "castellated" style in keeping with the pugnacious "ethos" of the former club we all loved to hate. I do believe that this "press box" was for the exclusive use of the "Daily Record".

I think they got rid of the turrets and battlements in the 70s. I don't recall ever seeing them in the flesh.

D'ye reckon that the arched window in the background is the one that used to be visible next to the entrance to the old main stand?

I remember there being two arched window on the facia. One above the entrance, and another next to it.
