We were a mottley looking bunch back then.

I can see what looks like the old adidas shirts from the 70's. I had orange with black stripes, yellow with blue and white with green. Practically lived in them back then.

Can anyone hazard a guess what ground this could be in ?
the bloke with the ciggie in his mouth, just to our right (his left) you can see a bench, looks like the grey benches used to be in the Beach End :ponder:

Harry Enfield; Scouser in there too
in black top, to left of guy with the hooped bunnet.

"Calm Down, Calm Down, Our Kid"
Dom Sullivan, in the middle next to the big blue jumper.
The guy with the blue (denim?) shirt and black hair right in the middle of the photo - lead singer with the Bay City Rollers.

Anybody, anywhere got a photo of William (Billy) Semple, a coal miner who originally joined Celtic from Baillieston Thistle? Later he went to Milwall and Southport.
I'll tak that as a Naw.

Thereis a small photo of him in the book The Alphabet of the Celts.

Unfortunately my scanner's not working. Don't know if one of the others can help ?

Thnk it might have been Colin Todd who was McFarland's Derby team mate at the time.

I have highlights of this game on DVD and Scotland were outstanding. Jinky, Bremner, Lorimer, Dalglish, McGrain, Jordan, Hay...must have been the best Scotland team ever. Shilton kept it at 2-0 it could have been 5.

66 LCF?

EDIT: Never realised Ian Young and Joe played in the same side; could that be the 1965 LCF?

Fat Paul Le Guen :rocker:

Ran amok with Willie Garner that night and it got him a transfer to Sunderland.

I don't think willie garner played in a winning celtic team! 3-1 loss to st mirren, 2-0 loss to st Johnstone. Dropped and came back for a 1-0 defeat at Easter road. Although he was part of the wembley wizards 5 a side team!
