I would guess the 1968 LC Final, which we won 5-3.

Looks like the Maestro's having a slash while Jackie administers a kicking to some hun or other.
The hun is Nigel Spackman.

Parkhead 1980...

The lament is so, so apt. If only we could bring back the 1980 Celtic Park - even for a day - to let the younger generation see what they are missing. The modern day blandness. The concession booths. The silence. Oh, for one more roar from the "Jungle". No need for orchestrated "choirs" in those days. I'd even bring back the orange press box and the orange seats in my beloved ould South Stand! Thanks for this and damn modernity!
That's the Celtic Park of my youth.

Me too. Used to start in the Rangers end and walk along the front of the Jungle at half time to watch the second half in the Celtic end.

Used to wonder why there were so many burst pipes in the Jungle all year round :ponder:

Not so much an old image but commentary some might not have heard.

The unmistakable dulcet tones of David Francey, another memory of my youth. Used to listen to away games on radio Scotland and live commentary only started on the 60 minutes mark.

strange, really strange to see at these times a "continental" ball. in my country we ever loved the white mitre brit ball, but to have down here was only a dream.

Neilly and Bobby behind the goal, probably making their way back to the dugout after tending to some victim of hun brutality
strange to see 6 huns waiting for the ball in our penalty box and only 1 ours ready to mark them !!!! but johnny was enough against 6 !!!!!!!!! :rocker:

Is it wrong that I listened to that with watery eyes?
