Looks to big for Joe McBride too; Yogi. Ok, angle deceptive, but he looks tall enough to touch the crossbar.

hmmm - that's what I first thought - height-wise maybes too short, but I do think the angle is a wee bit deceiving as you say, so I'm still thinking it's Joe :ponder:

Build looks wrong for Cha-cha, who was a whippet; when Joe signed, Chalmers occasionally wore the #7 or #8, but more often the #12.

Apologies ! Double checked the details. Photo says Chalmers scores at Tynecastle October 1968.

Looked up team: Simpson Craig Gemmell Clark McNeill Brogan Connelly Wallace McBride Chalmers Lennox. Celtic won 1-0.

Therefore McBride was listed at number 9.....so it was Joe after all

Ghost-written, doubtless

No way were we winning that one, with Brenda in the crowd :nono:

I'm new. Be gentle.
Anybody, anywhere got a photo of William (Billy) Semple, a coal miner who originally joined Celtic from Baillieston Thistle? Later he went to Milwall and Southport.
