Hamish was a bit of a mad bassa - Took the Arabs penalties and even had a song written about him being a loonball. ;)

Edit: Referencing St Anthony's post further up with Big Billy, Danny, etc...

That's a different place along London Road that they used to train at, right?

I got taken up there with my u-11's team for the day back in 1981 to see the team train, and then back to the stadium for a tour, but have always wondered why they weren't at Barrowfield? :ponder:

Anyone got any info on it?
I used to get a few mates together and make a team up ( playing in the hoops of course) and arrange and play friendlies there once a month, it was very difficult to get a booking, it was that popular at the time.

We played there for about 2 years, the best team we played were Calton Cosmos, they were a cracking side and I think played their home league games there. There must be some on here who either played for them or knew some who did.

It was a good surface to play on, as long as you stayed on your feet and kept the ball on the deck.
i know a fare ammout of the cosomos team form the mid 80s

is it graham barclay was it celtics first competitive game on a sunday when they beat clydebank 4-1 in a scottish cup tie some time in the early 70s

Jock signed Graham from Blantyre Vics. Thats not Graham in the picture.
The season after SEVCO also signed the Blantyre Vics goalie. Quite an achievement for a wee team.
Any of you guess who that may have been...... :)
Hard one. The guy is famous in junior circles but unlike Graham Barclay with Celtic he never actually played a 1st team game for the team formerly known as Rangers. [/quote]can,t remember his name but he played for queens park for a few years .
