Rangers player looks like Andy Penman. Decent bloke from Rosyth and not a hun by any means.

Also,Choccy's goal in the 3rd game at Dens was an absolute belter ! :worthy:

Hammering it down that night iirc,
Monsoon,we caught the Ark back to the Gorbals that night.

Cracking game. Biggest crowd I ever saw in Dens Park. Bonner made a brilliant save from Peter Weir right at the death.

Well played :worthy: Finished 0-0 and went to the third game at Dens.
One of my favourite games, that third one at Dens. Fantastic night. Everything that cup football should be.
Except that it pished down the whole night. Mind getting a lift up from a family friend in a cortina. He drove like a madman.

There is a resemblance. Big Nan is from Penman's neck of the woods so I'll take his word on Penman. ;)

My memories of Penman are when he was at Arbroath but the old boy tells me he was a fair player in his day with Dundee and them.

Regardless of who it is in the photo Penman was (RIP) a decent bloke and not a hun as I would understand the meaning of that term.

Similarly Alex Smith from Rosyth was another Rangers gent and no hun.

Does resemble Patterson though now you come to say it.

Is Penman dead ? Never heard that. :(

Used to think that Alex Smith was the ex Aberdeen manager but apparently he's a different guy entirely.

Edit: Just checked, he passed away in 1994 aged 51. Don't remember that at all. RIP.

Caught the tale end of Andy Penman's career - Good player and was told he was a decent guy and a long way from being your archetypical hun.

Craig Paterson on the other hand. :lolhuns:

I do remember he was afflicted with diabetes during his playing career; he was a classy player, and even helped Arbroath beat the huns 3-2 at Ibrox:

Apparently Andy blamed the onset of his diabetes on a traumatic aeroplane flight to/from Italy with Rangers when the plane was struck with lightning in an electric storm.

Alec Smith runs a pub at Coaledge outside Crossgates.

Personally, I wouldn't have pished on any of them if they had been on fire... but each to their own, I suppose.

You'd need to have a good aim. More chance of pissing on an empty space by the looks of that clip
