Is that Jim Brogan defending goal, behind Billy and Tommy Callaghan in mid field looking on? Oh dear, think you changed the picture. Was referring to the one above this photo. Post 9196.
Sorry HFMATW my techy skills are not great.

You're right about Brogie clearing off the line but I think that's Steve Murray looking on.

I suspect that this is the League Cup Final and not "Dixie's" Scottish Cup Final of May, 1972. I was at that game (what a game it was!) and - if my memory serves me correctly - it was a pretty sunny/pleasant day in May. The sky in the photograph (allowing for distortion) looks grey and overcast typical of December. :ponder: It's only a theory. While we are on the subject of Celtic v Hibs - allow me a big moan. After, the best part of 100 years with Celtic versus Hibs playing in their "home" strips WHY did some offishul decide that there was a "clash of colours"? Absolute nonsense! :boik: When was the last time Celtic v Hibs both played in their "home" strips? It must be over twenty years ago. How can we have a true "Battle of the Greens" if one team is in yellow, gray or black? Don't tamper with tradition. Rant over. :)

Defo the SCF

Maybe this video will put to bed what cup it was, park was surrounded by "go esso buy esso" adverts in the league cup final with a mixture of ads for the scottish cup final.

Where's that one from ng? I remember it being quite bright and glossy in relation to the stuff next to it, but can't remember what it was in.

Cheers. Had it up on my wall when I was younger, just couldn't remember where it had come from.
