Looks more like CP to me.

An Ferguson wore No9 for that final.
New to the site so sorry if this has been answered, the Celtic Players from left to right are McNeil, Gemmell, Oneil and Simpson. Rangers players are Persson and number 8 John Greig, by the look of the socks Rangers and the ball boys are wearing I would guess this was played at Ibrox.

Looking forward to going through the rest of these photos.
This is the League Cup qualifying section game from August 1968, played at The Park. Celtic won 1-0 with a Willie Wallace goal. Tommy Gemmell missed a penalty.

Salim Khan :worthy:

Fantastic  Love this story, one I have known after reading years back! Unreal it was captured on camera

The Indian had 2 trials with us, one v Galston (put £100 on the gate) and one v Hamilton Accies reserves (5,000 crowd), he had never worn football boots, so instead Jimmy McMenemy bound his feet with 2 1/2'' thick bandages.
I did an article on him for another site a few years ago

Spoiler: click to toggle

I loved the quotes in bold from his son

Edited to add spoiler tags.

is that not leeds at hampden, david harvey?

Only ticket I could get for this game was in the main stand slap bang in the middle, price was 19/6d only time I ever heard the Hampden Roar, never ever heard it as loud standing on the terracing.
Thought I would be clever and caught the bus at Castle st up to the terminus at Hawthorn st at Springburn end, got off the bus only to find the queue stretching all the way down Hawthorn st towards Possil, ended up running from Springburn to Hampden. Still it was worth it

well, here's a group of the italian celts for our "very" first meeting in Milano, at matricola pub (but we used also pogue mahone's pub). people from north italy, some scots, and once a fan from rome!! i cannot remember the date, but it was sunday when we draw 0-0 at CP v Hearts (that day Judas had his debut for mini huns - 1993 i think). at that time our csc was named The Italian Bhoys. it was a change of the first csc, formed in august 1990 and named Packie Bonner n.1 csc.

That's just an Italian stereotype...although it was handy if you needed to catch a train.

Absolute roaster on the left started turning up at hun matches and Orange walks during the Advocaat period, even the local huns thought he was a bawbag and all because his sister, whom he couldn't stand, joined the British Army. :cuckoo:

Lives in Phoenix now, wouldn't be surprised if he's jumped back over the dyke again.
