Sure in the footage from the Dryburgh Cup Final v Hibs there is a line marked right across the width of the pitch on 18 yards. Possibly might be something I have just imagined.

Don't think the League Cup ever had the 18yard off side line but the Dryburgh Cup did. I was at the game when Hibs beat us in the final, 1-0 i think, Alan Gordon the scorer?

Think the League Cup tried it possibly just for one season.I think it was used when we beat Hibs 6-3 in 1974 final.

Thanks for posting those Celtic youth and U-18 teams fotos. Those players had to have been outstanding just to attract Celtic's attention in the first place, much less move up the ladder as they did. To be at Celtic they had to be the best Scottish players in their age bracket at that time. They likely were good enough to play against the main team from time to time in practice matches. But yet, how many of them made it to the top at any club, much less Celtic? A few who were released hooked up with other teams, others drifted out of football altogether. Who knows if Feruz Islam will make it at Chelsea (or anywhere else) or in 20 years people will look at his foto in the Hoops and ask "Whatever happened to that guy?"

The LC had it in 1973.

Your right of course and i was at that Dundee Cup final!
My memories of this are it was possibly the coldest game i've ever been at. We were in the Celtic end hiding behind the pylons base as the wind/rain/sleet was blowing straight in your face. We were hiding behind people and had our backs to the pitch, only turning round now and again to see the game.
Any photos of this game or crowd kicking around?
