Crerand wasn't a patch on Murdoch :rocker:
I know, was only messing. :)
I've read that Pat Crerand has said as much. For him, Bertie and many others to point out how good BM was - it tells the story.

Billy and Rod were playing in a charity match and as I understand it were meant to be playing in Scotland kit.

However the person who had promised to organise the gear at the SFA had gone on holiday immediately prior to the game.

At very short notice, another member of the team with Rangers connections stepped in at the eleventh hour and came up with the Halloween costumes you see in the photo.

Dunno, but the odds were lifted from a Daily Mail 4 pager that I came across (Thanks, Uncle James!). It has stories such as "Helenio talks but nobody believes him anymore", "Turn on the style and win, Celtic" and "TOMMY GEMMELL. These masters of defence must come out. That's where we can catch them".

It was a done deal. Surprised anybody bothered to watch

I'm surprised by those odds.
I would have thought Inter Milan would have been hot favourites even in Glasgow at the bookies.

I played in the same Celtic Boys Club team as Bernie Little and Jim Murphy. Cant believe they didn't make it. Jim Murphy went to Dundee but faded. Bernie Little was the taxi driver who had a run in with Ricksen outside a school a few years back.
