League of Ireland at CP; there were six Celtic players in the line-up... the only hun selected was Ronnie McKinnon who was shirricked every time he touched the ball. Scottish League won 6-1.

I'm confusing that with an earlier fixture at CP.

Harry Hood and I believe the other guy is George Cohen of England 1966 fame.

Seem to recall this may have been a charity game down at Ayr in mid 70's.

Might explain why Dixie looks blotto but it says the guy in the specs is Douglas Welsh, sales manager of Vladivar Vodka.

That's a really nice picture of King Kenny and Jock Stein - sheer delight at meeting one another again. KK got a lot of stick that night (Big Jock's testimonial) from sections of our support. He scored a couple of belters if I recall correctly. If anyone has any film footage of that night I'd love to see it.
I gave him pelters that night. Sort of regret it now but you had to be around then to appreciate the sense of betrayal when he left.
I was around then and didn't boo him that particular night as there was no betrayal for me, just sadness that we had lost the outstanding talent in European football who had been a wonderful servant to our club. Kenny had the ambition that the club did not have, and as much as it hurt he was proved correct in his decision. Similar to the booing of Fergus it was another embarassing night for Celtic fans but still a fantastic picture of two of our greats.
