The famous Shamrock Strip on film, 1955 SC at Kilmarnock, who scored our goal??

SHAMROCK STRIP
What a wonderful find! It's truly great to see the ould Shamrock strip "live" against Killie. Why oh why doesn't the club bring it back as a "retro" look even for one season? It would be a huge hit with the fans. By the way that football looks bloody heavy!

I love seeing the old frontage. Always remember as a wean my Dad taking me to the main stand and sometimes when you were in the queue the 'full' sign would go up. We then ran like mad towards the Celtic end turnstiles to avoid missing the start of the game.

That was still happening in 1986! I mind missing Rambo McInallys early goal against
Eberdeen cos we were queuing to get into the front stand. The 'Full' signs came out
and the muppets had also shut the turnstiles for the Celtic end next to the main
stand meaning we had to sprint along the old railway line and back along Janefield
Street to get into the Celtic end that way. :brickwall:

Yeah certainly looks like it. Those big red fences could only be at Old Trafford.

Peter Scarff should have held on to that Jersey, in one of the games on that tour he scored 5 goals wearing a green dress shirt.

Sadly he was another Celt who died very young.
