A classic nil nil draw. If my memory serves me right this game was horrible. At least we beat them in the replay although I think Falkirk put us out in the next round. Another great early 90's memory.
I remember that game. Frank McGarvey was about 38 and ran amok with Galloway and McNally. A clyde player McCarron scored an absolute sitter in the last minute and the mood of the Celtic fans leaving Douglas Park is amongst the worst I ever experienced.
Remember it well. The last minute sitter  .

The falkirk game was the day after the first time I was ever drunk. I spewed on a policemans foot.

Shamrock Strip.

Brankin is actually Frank Rankin who sadly died as a young man in 1985 - His brother Joe was also on Celtic's books around that time - They were Archie Rankin (Pollok and St.Roch's Bhoys - Archie's other Bhoys were Stan Rankin who had the best career of them all at Morton and the yOungest son Stevie Rankin is the current Manager of Ashfield.

On the face of it that looks an indifferent Celtic Squad and yet 7 who took the field at Lisbon are there.

Anyone know anything about Gnaulati?

Big John Fallon would have been the other keeper - He is missing - Possibly injured?

Pat Woods the Celtic Historian genuinely swears that Dunky McKay was a better RB than Daniel Fergus - Still no buying it,Pat. :arrr:
Far too young to see Dunky and Daniel Fergus was, in my mind, unbeatable. Worth noting that from my old man and others the opinion was that Dunky was a class act. Winning caps like big Billy when we were poor.

St Anthony,
I cheated and looked at the edition of the View where that photo came from. It says McCulloch.

It certainly was. I wrote a bit about it on the wiki. Next day we all trooped through to Edinburgh for Pat Stanton's testimonial.
