It is Bobby Wraith - Think his only First Team game was a League Cup tie - Not sure what that pic is (Reserve League?) as Charlie Gallagher and Tommy Callaghan didn't play and were not at Casale Monferrato.
Reserve League Cup Final, 2nd Leg, 29 April 1969.
Celtic 2-0 Aberdeen
Scorers: Macari and Davidson
Celtic won 4-0 on aggregate.
Celtic: Wraith, McGrain, Gorman, Dalglish, Connelly, Cattanach, Gallagher, McMahon, Macari, Callaghan, Davidson. Sub Jim Clark
Cheers

Mitre Mouldmaster balls ... a bit like :brickwall:
Those aren't Mouldmasters; 'Mouldies' were made of the same material as basketballs, and were always over-inflated... on a frosty day the ball would bounce to a ridiculous height, but that is nothing to the agony of a Mouldmaster caked in red blaes striking you on the thigh in midwinter: I swear time would stand still as it stuck to your leg before dropping to the ground. Fecking agony.

Going back to Jim Brogan CB, have never met him but my sisters boy worked as his chef for about 5 yr , says Jim was generous to a fault and was forever giving the regulars money, when the family took over the pub they sacked my nephew when they seen what Jim had be paying him all they years  seemingly hes a very modest guy who hardly ever talks about his own career, a great team player
Not questioning his tic credentials but the feedback i've heard was very different. Again second hand, but he bought my old mans local in maryhill, real tim shop but was not a popular man.
Yes im sure everyone who seen him will agree Jim Brogan the Celtic player gave everything to the cause, as for his private life opinion's seemed to be divided with much of it splattered across the tim'ternet, my comment was aimed at CB as i know he is well versed on the tales about Jim Brogan and like me he tends to keep the unsavoury ones to himself.

I stand corrected, OBD  I saw the Mitre logo, guessed the vintage of the photo, and went into instant Fear flashback. In Primary 7, I took a MM on the side of the napper during a goalmounth scramble. Dear God!!

The size 4's were the worst. Like getting skelped on the leg with a table tennis bat.

There was an interview with Jim Brogan with the "Alternative View" fanzine where Mallorcabhoy described him as "a bitter, twisted, strange sort of man. "

Some say he's a bit sore about his career, but it's far superior to that of many others:

I always thought mouldmasters were made of starfish. No pain worse than a Mitre in the dish.
