That's an amazing sequence of pics i've never seen before.
This was slightly before my time so my question is ;
Did we have someone in that team to meat out summary justice to that evil bastard Greig or did he get away with his thuggery?

The thought of him getting away with acts of thuggery turn my stomach sick.

We relied on skill so no one up front to dish it out in that team, maybe thats why we hadn't beat them for 3 years, they had a glut of hammer throwers like Greig, Jackson with the biggest thug of them all Tom Forsyth as back up.

On the Lennox - Greig incident from 76.

The huns still foam at the mouth at Simpson's challenge on Durrant and yet think of what Greig dished out through the years.

And he was voted greatest Ranger of all time :lol: Forget about Henderson Baxter, Laudrup and Cooper the white Pele (as we calleed Greig in the old days) gets the vote.

Aberdeen at Parkhead before extra time 1987. The third game at Dens was some game. Biggest crowd I ever saw in Dens that was some night.

Some real tussles against The Sheep in those days.

Dens that night was a great night - One for the memory bank - Lashing with rain - The Maestro was superb - Great early hit from McLair settled it.

Next round we went down 0-1 to the Diets :boik: ffs.

With regards to the Lennox/Greig photo I'm pretty sure my old boy told me Lennox was flagged for offside - even though he was in his own half.
