Was this Photo taken at the Beach end at Pittodrie...???
Could be the night we won 1-0 at Pittodrie and the Celtic support refused to leave; the Polis had the stadium lights turned off, but the entire Celtic End was suddenly lit by thousands of lighters being held aloft. It was kinda like an REO Speedwagon concert.
Any photos of this???

What a night that was.....!!!!

Fond memories of being at the game with my old man and him jumping round the benches waving his lighter in the air like a kid.

Is that the 'Shed' before it had a roof??
The Shed was, and still is, behind the goal. That was the steep terracing opposite
the main stand - before it had a roof.

JJ

I always called the terracing across from the Main Stand the Shed back then :)

That's the one I'm meaning, The Shed behind the goal has always been the Shed correct

Thanks for that LincolnBhoy. Brian McClair could always be relied upon for a goal.

Just noticed the ref is the bearded Eddie Thomson (Edinburgh) funny how we knew where all the refs came from in them days, he was the ref in the infamous Berwick 1 huns 0 game, its said that in the 94th minute, Greig had asked him for another couple of minutes and was telt "I've already given you four".

To answer your question GR, the ref gave a penalty and pointed to the spot only for rabid huns to help change his mind, seemingly the linesman flagged Lennox offside and the result was a free kick to them.

Clearly he is. And yet some "Celtic fans" are phoning up Radio Snyde and saying
what a disgrace Neil Lennon is?...

:coffee:
