Can anyone shed some light on these please? I've got the originals somewhere along with some other from '67, these are some copies I've found.

I'm assuming this is just a standard photo of big Roy.

Thanks very much for the information!!

The 1965 picture was always one of my favourites when I was a kid, purely for Bertie holding up Billy.

Jeez I remember that. None of us could comprehend what happened the previous day.

3-0 up after half an hour and Steve Fulton ran riot. Hibs fancied their chances that day as well.

Any ref that can't distinguish between those kits should not be officiating at any level as his eyesight is obviously seriously flawed.

Would love to see us v Hibs in the final with us both wearing our first choice tops (although we'll have to toss a coin for the shorts/socks as Hibs are also all white this season).

On the same note - the recent Sheffield Derby & Newcastle v Sunderland games - all teams wore their stripes - no problem.

Yes. Big Billy's first game against the huns as a manager. 3 - 1 victory.

Was that the 7 or 8 nil game?

Loving these pics TWG, as they're all from the Centenary Season or a season either way

Tw Is that Tam McAdam scoring .
Tam McAdam used to score fairly regularly against the huns as I recall.

In fact, and I might now be wrong what with the likes of the KoK being around, but I'm sure at one stage he was up there with out top post-war scorers against rangers.

Can anyone confirm or contradict?...

Always remember him having agreat record against the huns. Don't know exact number Wilfred but it couldn't have been far off double figures.

Think McAdam scored 8 against the huns:

1977 nov h 1-1 1
1978 sep h 3-1 2
1978 dec n 2-3 1
1979 aug a 2-2 1
1981 sep a 2-0 1
1981 nov h 3-3 1
1982 apr h 2-1 1

Good going for a guy who played mostly at centre half.
