Can only assume the Burns bit was transposed from Tommy's name being written
down at the same time :ponder:
Frankie Miller performed a wee gig at Jinky's pub in Wishaw (JJ's?)
and was then invited by Jimmy to Celtic Park
I cannot recall Jinky having a pub in Wishaw. Can anyone supply any more details on this JJ boozer?
jinky never had a boozer in wishaw but one in hamilton the double j next to the old odeon picture house

Was there bother at that game i seem to remember my old man ''missed his flight'' and came home with a black eye.
I can vaguely remember we had tickets for near the front but we got herded up in the gods and the locals were throwing everything at us they could get their hands on.

Scary stuff considering back home it used to rain wine bottles at some games but at least at home you knew where home was in Madrid that evening trying to find our mini-bus after the game was one of the scariest moments of my life after Juventus (same era) of course.
if i can remember right did tb not come on as a sub with about 10 mins to go and miss a sitter !!!

Yep - Think it is after Jinky :worthy: scored the winning penalty :rocker:

L to R - McNamara (came on a sub),Pat McCluskey,Tommy Callaghan,The edge of Cesar's profile,Paul Wilson,Jinky,Stevie Murray and Bobby Lennox.

Edit - Two very good players and sometimes underrated Celts in that picture in Tommy Callaghan and Stevie Murray.

A while back we had very few pics of Kenny in the hoops on the wiki pages.

I've managed to turn a few up and we now have a wonderful gallery as you can see which does him justice.

http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/Dalglish%2C+Kenny+-+Pics

However can we delete the one at the bottom of him signing for Liverpool with a smiling Bob Paisley.

It's cracking me up !

That was the only football match my wife has ever been to.
i took her along to the main stand and when the teams lined up at the start
she came out with the classic line

"which one is Celtic?"

That was her last game btw.

I have still got the program from that game

What I always loved about the King was the look of absolute joy on his face whenever he scored a goal. The fact he scored so many just underlined how special a feeling it was. Can think of few great goalscorers whose love for the game and love for scoring was so obvious as Dalglish. Always uplifting.
