Re Arthur Graham, I remember the article. A number of Catholic players were interviewed, including Pat Jennings. Most gave diplomatic answers, but Arthur said 'not for a king's ransom'.

It kind of stuck with me that reply.
His family were all Tims.

He stayed in Castlemilk int the same street as Ray Houghton and Frank Welsh in the other......some street team!
Remember that too,but didn,t know it was Graham that said it...Did someone else not say something similar??Thinking a Leeds or Arsenal bhoy?? :ponder:

Eddie :worthy: and Frank Gray also came from Castlemilk - That may be your Leeds connection?

Danny McGrain to this day still says that Arthur Graham was his most difficult opponent.

As a result of that article, whenever Leeds were on the telly down here my Dad used to shout "Good Man Arthur!" every time he got the ball.

Morton had drawn 3-3 with the huns at Cappielow on the preceding Wednesday to put us level on points and ahead on goal difference. Morton were applauded on to the park at CP; but put up a resolute defence after they equalised.

The beauty of it all is that huns had won 2-1 at Kilmarnock, and their scumbag supporters had invaded the pitch, thinking we had drawn 1-1. The huns went undefeated until the last game... when Aberdeen pumped them 3-2 at the midden. :loel:

Maybe so, but could have been the 13 bus...... they stayed in the next close to my Nana in Castlemilk!

Arthur "Bumper" Graham- was it not something to do with turning up to training on his first day at Aberdeen with a white pair of dunlop tennis shoes as trainers(or glesga description sannies)!

The Aberdeen guys called these type of trainers bumpers.........Willie Miller should have known better

Took a while myself to work it out. Put pictures onto ImageShack first then uploaded them. After that copied the url on imageshack 'directlink' to Old Celtic images page. Don't know know if that makes any sense. Had to ask a couple of people for advice on it.
