Quoting limited to 3 levels deep[IMG][URL=http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/827/mcneill43.jpg/]Posted Image
Even as a Scot I can appreciate there was something almost imperious about that England strip back then.
England team: Gordon Banks, George Cohen, Ramon Wilson, Norbert Stiles (Nobby Stiles), Jackie Charlton, Bobby Moore (Capt.), Peter Thompson, Jimmy Greaves, Barry Bridges, Johnny Byrne, Bobby Charlton.

Scotland team: Bill Brown, Alec Hamilton, Eddie McCreadie, Pat Crerand, Billy McNeill (Capt.), John Greig, Willie Henderson, Bobby Collins, Ian St. John, Denis Law, Davie Wilson.
Wonder what the score was ? I'm guessing a humping for the Scots complete with dignified socks !

Ramon Wilson,
Seriously?

The Esso World Cup Coins just called him 'Ray'

Was he, by any chance, related to our very own 'Ramon, Ramon, Ramon, Ramon, Ramon ,Ramon,Ramon, Ramon,Vega'?

Or was he actually Mexican and not Swiss?
I take it you stopped off for a few on the way home from Hampden :)
I did actually.

Nonetheless, this question was a genuine attempt to query the 'englishness' of that team and, somehow, reverse the outcome of the 1966 final.

Besides, in a juvenile way, I was a big fan of that Vega tune

I take it your own 'refreshment' arrangements were satisfactory?

Possibly the real reason why they named the Janefield Street end the Jungle.

I won't quote the post - but I assume that's looking at the cemetery from the Gallowgate end, and CP is where those trees are in front of the steeple?

What hills are in the background if that's the case? Cathkin Braes or something?
