Nope; it used to happen quite regularly if Christmas fell on a Saturday. I rememer another occasion when we pumped Morton 8-1 at CP; the huns lost 3-2 to Dunfermline the same day. :)
What year was the last Christmas Day game Celtic were involved in?
1971 was the last time there was a full card although if I recall correctly St Mirren played Clydebank at Kilbowie on Christmas day 1976 also.

'Heathen country that we are to play football on Christmas day.' - Famous quote from the time.

Christmas day 1971.
I was there! 3-2? :potm:
Iwas also at that game, Me and my mate Eddie Cattenach took the train from Falkirk, we were only thirteen and I cant remember If I would have had permission to go (I doubt it). Eddie was the brother of ex Ceit Davie. Eddie himself was taken on the Celtic groundstaff on leaving school, sadly he never made the grade.

Something sticks in my mind that we were behind twice in that game, and that Donald Ford opened the scoring that day. Can anyone confirm. Sorry for rambling, but brings back good memories.
