Didn't Leeds play in red socks at Hampden in the return leg?
The same red socks we wore in the first leg?

They did play in red socks at Hampden yes, but we definitely wore orange ones at Elland Road
Wern't red socks that showed up orange under the floodlights?

 correct.

Though this was the first game we wore the new styled strip, so the NTL logo was a bit out of sync ;)
we wore the new kit the weds before v Dundee (6-2) with the carling advert

http://www.sportinglife.com/football/scottishpremier/celtic/reports/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/03/05/14/SOCCER_Celtic.html&TEAMHD=celtic&DIV=scotsprem&TEAM=CELTIC&RH=Celtic&PREV_SEASON=2001&BID=
Why did we have NTL on our jerseys in the final????

The replica strips we all wore in Seville had carling on them didnt they??? First replica strip I had wore since the centenary hoops and that bogging yellow away strip from then.

NTL probably had a sponsorship deal for all European games, I'm assuming due to UEFA's non alcohol sponsorship rules

That line-up in full:

BACK ROW (Left to Right) - Neilly Mochan, Jock Stein, Hugh McKellar, Ian Young, Jim Craig, John Fallon, Jim Harkins, Tommy Gemmell, John Hughes, Billy McNeill, David Cattanach, George Connelly (behind McMahon in the black & white photo), Pat McMahon, Sammy Henderson, John Taggart, Sean Fallon and Bob Rooney.

MIDDLE ROW (Left to Right) - Chris Shevlane, Ronnie Simpson, Stevie Chalmers, Joe McBride, Willie Wallace, Willie O'Neill, Bobby Murdoch, Charlie Gallagher, Jimmy Johnstone, John Clark and Tony Taylor.

FRONT ROW (Left to Right) - Jim Clark, Jimmy Quinn, Tony McBride, Bertie Auld, Lou Macari, Bobby Lennox (behind Davidson in the black & white photo), Victor Davidson, Kenny Dalglish, Fred Pethard, Danny McGrain, John Gorman and Tony O'Brien.

Jim Harkins is my uncle. Talented man, turned to the drink but, instead of sticking in at football. Played for Dumbarton as well.

Just another request, if you post here, please if you can please also post the picture on thecelticwiki. We'd love to have a good storage place of these pictures so the wiki is a good source for this, and so means the pictures can be referenced for many years to come.....

Any help needed on any of it then don't hesitate to ask.

Carling never became our sponsor till the 03/04 season. 02-03 was still NTL

Carling took over with a few games left in 02-03 season ;) NTL had our Euro sponsorship tied up for the whole season though.

I think the old sponsor on the new strip will always make that Seville shirt unique as a one off :)

Some of the 'Seville' shirts on ebay are

Kinda OT but when you see the squad there poor Douglas stands out like a sore thumb. I know he had good days but if there was a weak link in that 11, he was it. The rest are absolute class, even in Valgaren's lesser days.
