Jimmy Steele :worthy: yet again.

Went everywhere with Celtic as Masseur but was never once officially employed by Celtic - It was a labour of love for him - He had actually previously been Freddie Mills the boxers Masseur and was such an effectual character around the Dressing Room that Tommy Docherty tried to get him to work at Man Utc.

Souness tried and failed to lure him to Ibrox after Mexico 86 with a wage packet.

I won't type Steeley's reply

It's Dom Sullivan.
Think the huns are Ally Dawson and Colin McAdam.

Edit....Maybe Ian Redford rather than McAdam. :ponder:

You don't think it's Sullivan because he was fatter, but you think it might be Andy Ritchie.
I think it's Sullivan.

Loving the bottom picture. Been reading lots about the first great Celtic team. Lots of characters to be had and the formidable front line of Hamilton, Bennett, McMenemy, Somers and Quinn :worthy:
I think the middle pic is at the end of the 1965-66 League Cup Final win over Rangers. That's Young in the pic.

Actually think it may be.

Think it is the 3-0 :nono: game at The Cesspit - McCluskey was a sub so wonder if the number is 13?

I remember Doms first game was against rangers, but i can't remember when or what the score was. He ran straight out of tunnel and across the jungle with his arms aloft like he'd just scored a goal. Best reaction to signing for Celtic i've ever seen. Good player too.

Dom was MOTM on his debut v the huns at CP

On Friday 26 October 1979 Celtic sprung a surprise by signing Aberdeen midfielder Dominic Sullivan for a then notable fee of £80,000.

Billy McNeill was concerned about the lack of subtlety in his midfield with his main play maker, Tommy Burns, having injury problems and although Conroy, Aitken and MacLeod were all fine players the engine room of the side sometimes lacked a bit of technique which Dom was bought to provide.

My recollection is that McNeill had enquired about purchasing either Dom or Gordon Strachan from Pittodrie and as we all know it would be another 26 years before ‘wee Gordo’ would turn up at Parkhead in another capacity.

Despite his late arrival on the Friday Dom was thrown into the deep end the next day when Celtic played Rangers at Parkhead. He had a spectacular start to his Celtic debut when Celtic took centre and Dom found himself facing Alex MacDonald a matter of seconds into the game. Dom himself described it as thus :

''From the kick off the ball was pushed back to me and wee Alec MacDonald that I’d had quite a few encounters with at Aberdeen – a wee terrier of a player, a wee hardy bit – he came in right away to sort me out. It was just instinct that I drew the ball back, took it round him and he slid past me. A big cheer went up and I pushed the ball out to Davie Provan and that was it. You were home ! But if I’d got caught there, if I’d got banged there, if he’d taken the ball of me – it was a fantastic start because the first touch was very important. It was only afterwards I discovered that George McCluskey was under instructions, if Celtic get the kick off, get the ball to Dom. I didn’t know that. I didn’t know I was going to get it. If I’d tried something in my head it might not have worked out.''

Upon closer inspection I would say it is Mike Conroy
